Privacy policy
How we collect, store, and protect information when you use Live Party Photos.
Last updated: 5 July 2026
Who we are
Live Party Photos (www.livepartyphotos.com) provides photo album and slideshow services for event hosts. This policy explains how we handle personal data and guest-uploaded content.
What we collect
- Host accounts: name, email address, and password (stored securely hashed).
- Album settings: album name, custom text, theme choices, and configuration you provide.
- Guest uploads: photos guests submit, optional name and message, and basic technical data (e.g. upload time, device identifier used for upload cooldowns).
- Usage data: standard server logs (IP address, browser type, pages visited) for security and troubleshooting.
How we use your information
We use data only to run the service:
- Creating and managing your account and albums
- Storing and displaying photos on your upload page, slideshow, and optional public gallery
- Preventing abuse (e.g. upload rate limits)
- Responding to support requests
- Keeping the platform secure and reliable
Your photos and privacy of content
We do not use your photos for advertising, marketing, or AI training. We do not sell guest or host content. We do not browse or review album content except where necessary to operate the service (e.g. responding to a valid legal request or fixing a reported technical issue).
Photos are stored securely in cloud storage. Only you (as album owner) control whether uploads are shown on the slideshow, deleted, or shared via a public gallery link.
Who can see photos
- You — full access to all photos in your albums.
- Guests with your upload link or QR code — can upload; they do not see other guests’ photos unless you enable the public gallery and share that link.
- Slideshow viewers — anyone with the slideshow URL can view photos as they appear on screen.
- Public gallery — only if you turn this on and share the link.
Storage and retention
Photos are retained according to your plan. See our retention policy. You may download photos at any time while your album is active.
Cookies and sessions
We use session cookies to keep you logged in as a host. Guest upload pages do not require login. We do not use third-party advertising cookies.
Third-party services
Photos and files are stored using Cloudflare R2 (or equivalent secure object storage). Infrastructure providers may process data on our behalf under strict agreements. We do not share your content with social networks or ad platforms.
Your rights
You can access, correct, or delete photos in your albums at any time. You may delete your account by contacting us. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under GDPR or similar laws — contact us to exercise them.
Children
The service is intended for adults organising events. Album owners are responsible for informing guests how photos will be used. If you believe a child has uploaded personal data without appropriate consent, please contact us.
Changes
We may update this policy from time to time. The date at the top will change when we do. Continued use of the service after changes means you accept the updated policy.
